Ghazala
lives in Multan, at the heart of a Khwaja Sira community long shut out of ordinary paths to education and work. It has always been difficult for Ghazala to study due to harassment and bullying at school. Her life changed when Ghazala found ITHM, a PSDF's initiative running trans-friendly training service provider (TSP).
Over there she enrolled in a professional course and gained valuable skills. She used her skills and began her own catering business, cooking first for her own community, then beyond it, with referrals from fellow Guru Shani helping the work grow. Today she leads a paid team of five to six people, some of the community members who got training somewhere else but could not find work.
Ghazala helped them build a career. "If we support each other, we can easily move forward.
In this way, we give the world a message that we are hardworking people, and they do not belittle us." The income has brought real change to a phone, a bike, plans for a car, but Ghazala's focus stays on what comes next: growing the team so more people can be brought into steady and dignified work.
