Overview

Telecom technicians specialise in repairing mobiles and maintaining telecom devices, learning about communication systems and troubleshooting

What you will learn

In this course you will learn about the basics of computer applications, and communication sustems and learn how to apply relevant safety precautions and safety practices. You will also learn how to describe wireless standards, understand multiple access and GSM, explain the function and parts of telephone sets, PABX and line and troubleshoot for mobile, telecom hardware and software.

Training Outcome

After completing this course you will be able to work according to general workshop rules and regulations, use the measuring instruments safely, operate instruments like microscope, hot air gun and soldering station etc., read block diagram of mobile sets, and troubleshoot for different mobile sets. You will also be able to handle power supply, UPS, stabilizer etc., lay, test, and join a cable system, install/repair telephone sets, use relevant test equipment and install and troubleshoot PABX.
