What you will learn

In this course, you will learn about drafting basic patterns, have essential knowledge of using latest tools and equipment for pattern making, know about the production of multi-skilled patterns, and about market trends and prices. You will also learn about sewing machines and using them for over-lock, ZIG-ZAG stitches, know about fabric composition, sequence of operations, fabric and end-product finishing and know-how of handling damage to fabric.

Training Outcome

After completing this course, you will be able to take measurements and specifications according to different body parts, use essential tools and instruments for taking measurements, and follow pattern instructions to create a pattern.

You will also have learnt how to apply key pattern making and information charts, basic principles of designing, have knowledge of sizing and cutting, and handling of an industrial sewing machine. The course will also teach you about packing and quality control as well as how to adopt safety precautions during pattern making, cutting procedure and stitching of garments.
