What you will learn

In this course you will learn about soil and climatic requirement of fruits, vegetables and floricultural crops, nutritional, organic and inorganic manures for fruits and propagation techniques for fruits. You will also gain in depth knowledge about vegetables and ornamental plants, ways to protect plants from insects and pests, and the relevant garden tools and gardening techniques for fruit, vegetables and flowering crops.

Training Outcome

After completion of this course you will be able to cultivate summer and winter vegetables on scientific lines in addition to all the fruit plants of Punjab. You will also be skillful enough to prepare a layout plan for fruit gardens and for vegetable cultivation. By the end of the course you will have the know-how to establish a fruit garden of mangoes, citrus, guavas, grapes, strawberries, apples, dates, peaches, apricots, loquats, black plums (jaman), lychees, falsas, and bananas, and establish an ornamental plants nursery.
