Overview

GIS surveyors specialize in preparing GIS data and Geo-referencing methods.

What you will learn

In this specialization, you will learn basic Geographic Information System (GIS) concepts and understand how Global Positioning Systems (GPS) works. You will develop an understanding of the following:

• data retrieval and management

Training Outcome

After completing this course, you will be able to undertake proper configuration of GPS equipment. You will be able to capture and prepare GIS data, apply geo-referencing methods and use both GPS and GIS formats. Moreover, the specialization will cover android based surveying, land or cadastral surveying – measuring and defining land ownership boundaries. By the end of the specialization, you will be well-versed in softwares like MXDS, arc catalogue and ARCGIS 10.
