Overview

Fitter Generals are experts in performing regular mechanical repairs and maintenance works whilst ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.

What you will learn

In this course you will learn about workshops and work place tools, power, machine power, measuring units (length+angle), calipers (gauges and bevels), Vernier caliper, care and maintenance of measuring instruments, marking, sawing, chiseling, shearing, filing, scraping, drilling, counter sinking, counter boring etc.

Training Outcome

After completing this course you will be able to use measuring tools, fitting tools, fastening tools safely. You will also be able to sketch and draw different work, operate drill machine, pedestal grinding machine, layout the work piece accordingly, perform bench fitting works, repair and maintain different mechanical machines, operate lathe machine, perform basic fabrication work and read different types of drawing.
