CNC Programming Setup and Operations

Overview

This course will train the learners in CNC programming, its operations & setup which includes operating its control panel and also preparing the machines for executing work/ jobs.

What you will learn

In this course you will learn about simple mathematical calculations required for CNC programming, and gain knowledge of basic concepts relating to making and presenting data in graphic form in 2D and 3D form etc. You will also learn how to differentiate between absolute and incremental measuring systems, understand the mechanism for developing part programs for CNC machines, and develop familiarity with standard working processes along with demonstrating work ethic.

Training Outcome

After completion of this course you will be able to apply safety procedures and observe work ethics on shop floor and work sites, and differentiate between CAD and CAM software according to their respective applications/implementations.  You will also have learnt how to alter CNC programming by generating NC code files, properly setting up CNC machines using the control panel and operating CNC lathes / turning, CNC cylindrical grinders and EDM machines. Through the course you will also have learnt how to read engineering drawings in 2D/3D in CAD software and exercise preventive and corrective maintenance of machines according to malfunction alarms.
