Aghaaz has been created to promote entrepreneurship and self-employment outcomes for income generation among the youth. Given the slow economic growth rate and new jobs creation, Aghaaz has taken center stage for all skills training at PSDF.
Under the Kamyab Jawan Scheme, PSDF has signed an exclusive partnership with Habib Bank Limited (HBL) to prepare youth for securing loans. PSDF has created an online training program on entrepreneurship and all candidates will have to undergo the program before applying for the loan. The output of the training program is a business plan developed by each trainee based on the requirements of HBL. In the first phase, HBL will provide loans to 5,000 PSDF trainees.
Another initiative under Aghaaz is Entrepreneurship on Wheels which was run to address entrepreneurship with Uber and Apna Bank to provide market linkages and access to finance. The program ideally lasts for 14 weeks, 2 weeks of classroom training, 6 weeks of practical training, and 6 weeks of market linkages. Classroom training covers important topics such as on-road ethics, anti-harassment, and road signs, followed by practical training.
