Getting to know PSDF

Our purpose-You will be part of the largest skills development fund in Pakistan. PSDF’s purpose is to shape the future and well-being of our poor and vulnerable youth by giving them access to skills training of the highest standard so they can find sustainable employment and income-generating opportunities in Pakistan and beyond.

The impact we have created-PSDF started its operations in the 4 poorest districts of Punjab. Since 2016, the geographical remit has expanded to the entire 36 districts of Punjab. PSDF has trained almost 300,000 underprivileged youth across Punjab, which includes 180,000+ male and 110,000+ female graduates. These graduates have been trained in approximately 250 demand-driven and market relevant trades across 10 sectors.

How the Role looks like

Responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and leading initiatives to drive company growth.

The primary job responsibilities for this role will be to:

  1. Research and identify potential funding sources, including local and international donors, grants, corporate sponsorships, and partnerships.
  2. Sets and implements partnerships and business development objectives, targets, and initiatives.
  3. Develop comprehensive funding strategies to secure financial support for PSDF’s programs and initiatives.
  4. Develop and implement strategic business development plans, including annual and quarterly targets and objectives.
  5. Formulates, develops, and implements strategies and tactical plans that bring employer leadership in the development, execution, and cofounding of its training programs.
  6. Cultivates, fosters, and maintains strategic partnerships with leading employers across Pakistan and overseas.
  7. Lead the relationship with the placement service provider to align the PSDF objective for employment generation for PSDF trainees.
  8. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and reports to potential funders and partners.
  9. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers
  10. Lead negotiations and discussions with prospective donors and partners to secure funding and support
  11. Analyse and synthesize, quantitative and qualitative data, trends, insights, and evidence generated through research studies/knowledge-based projects.
  12. Responsible for building a sustainability pipeline through different initiatives.
  13. Works with organizations to develop business proposals as per the mandate of PSDF.
  14. Develops and implements plans to create revenue streams for PSDF.
  15. Frequently interacts to establish relations with Senior Management of potential employers (National & International), promotes PSDF’s profile, educates about the partnership benefits, and persuades them to work with PSDF.

What do we expect you to achieve?

The main accountabilities for this role include:

  1. The number of potential funding sources identified.
  2. The number of new partnerships established.
  3. 100% Alignment of P&P plans with organizational objectives.
  4. 100% compliance with the allocated budget
  5. Increase in revenue attributable to new partnerships, aiming for quarterly growth.
  6. Completion rate of quarterly and annual objectives.
  7. Completion and approval of funding strategies within set deadlines.
  8. The success rate in securing funding.
  9. Total amount of funds secured, aiming for an annual increase.

Are you the right fit for this Job?

To apply, you must have:

  1. Master’s degree in Marketing / Economics / Business Administration / Social Science or any relevant / similar degree from an HEC – HEC-recognized/accredited university.
  2. A minimum of 8 years of experience and 2 years of experience at the managerial level in a relevant/similar field.

The experience for this role requires you to have:

  1. Strong Analytical Skills.
  2. Strong knowledge of project management practices.
  3. Strong knowledge of customer account management.
  4. Good knowledge of business development techniques.
  5. Good Knowledge of partnerships and contract management.
  6. Understanding and experience of research and market analysis tools.
  7. Understanding and experience with presentation and proposal tools
  8. Grasp of costing techniques.
