Head of Research and Planning

Our purpose-You will be part of the largest skills development fund in Pakistan. PSDF’s purpose is to shape the future and well-being of our poor and vulnerable youth by giving them access to skills training of the highest standard so they can find sustainable employment and income-generating opportunities in Pakistan and beyond.

The impact we have created-PSDF started its operations in the 4 poorest districts of Punjab. Since 2016, the geographical remit has expanded to the entire 36 districts of Punjab. PSDF has trained almost 300,000 underprivileged youth across Punjab, which includes 180,000+ male and 110,000+ female graduates. These graduates have been trained in approximately 250 demand-driven and market relevant trades across 10 sectors.

We are looking for a passionate and innately talented individual who can actively pursue and drive the agenda of PSDF and is always ready to take up new challenges.

You will be leading and controlling the Research & Planning department.

The main opportunities and challenges for this role are to

• Identify, Plan and coordinate the implementation of annual and long-term research plans to ensure the alignment of program outcomes with strategic plan;
• Prepare annual, mid and end of program evaluations for information of BoD and Donors including GoPb
• Provide support in design of new programs based on internal and external research
• Lead the expansion of PSDF donor-base by attracting local and international donors to the Fund.
• Lead and implements partnerships and business development strategies and initiatives to achieve organizational revenue targets.
• Develop strategic partnerships with other local and international organizations, government, semi-government and autonomous bodies, to push the skills development agenda.
• Develop and manage program related tracer studies as and when required

• % of new funding of the total
• % of new research-based trades introduced
• % change in programs as a result of research
• No of new strategic partnerships

To collaborate and perform effectively, the role requires you to

• Build strong relationships with External Teams i.e. 3^rd party consulting partners.
• Build strong relationships with Internal Teams: Business Development, Program Development, Procurement, Finance etc.

• Result driven and persistent to get the desired results and takes ownership of actions.
• Innovative and has an aptitude to welcome and try new ways of doing things and push for their execution.

To apply, you must have 

• Master’s in Economics/Social Sciences/Management Sciences or MBA or any relevant degree from recognized HEC university.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant/similar experience with 3 years in Senior management

The required experience for this role requires you to have 

• Strong experience in Research
• Demonstrated experience in fund-raising.
• Managing 3rd party consulting partners
• Demonstrated experience of developing strategic partnerships.
• Good Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent presentation, communication, writing and reporting skills
